将开始菜单中的Symantec Endpoint Protection的快捷方式整理至子目录
Symantec Endpoint Protection是个好软件，无需任何特殊措施即可正常使用，甚至可以从Symantec官方网站直接下载到安装光盘镜像。自打从SCS升级到SEP，也明显让人感觉到系统资源占用降低了。
不过它有个很顽固的症状，让人一直搞不明白为何开发人员要这么做：每当我将开始菜单中的Symantec Endpoint Protection快捷方式删除或者移动到其它新建的子目录中之后，Symantec Endpoint Protection都会自动修复安装，然后重新在开始菜单的根目录下生成它的快捷方式。虽然这没什么大碍，但是还是让人觉得有点难受。
经过一番研究之后，发现可以通过修改注册表的方法强行删除或者移动它，方法如下：
首先禁用Symantec Endpoint Protection的自动保护。
在Windows XP简体中文版中，搜索字符串“C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\「开始」菜单\程序\Symantec Endpoint Protection\”（假设Symantec Endpoint Protection安装于C盘），在Windows XP英文版中，这个字符串应该是“C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Symantec Endpoint Protection\”，在Windows Vista中，这个字符串会是“C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Symantec Endpoint Protection\”。
这将会得到两个结果。第一个结果位于“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders”下，将右边的该字符串名修改一下，例如我想将Symantec Endpoint Protection的快捷方式整理至开始菜单中的“系统”目录下，则修改该字符串名为“C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\「开始」菜单\程序\系统\Symantec Endpoint Protection\”。
第二个结果位于“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Components\5B0EE1AE919853948A8F22871941D5A7”下，将右侧“4194BAB31CC92CC43AAD65FE26FD3D37”字符串项的值修改为“C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\「开始」菜单\程序\系统\Symantec Endpoint Protection\”。这个位置我的两台机器上的Windows Vista和Windows XP系统是相同的，我想可能是因为安装的Symantec Endpoint Protection版本相同所致，不确定其它版本是否也是该位置。
然后关闭注册表，打开Symantec Endpoint Protection的自动保护，大功告成了！
